Through our student-run branch at Fitchburg High School, students, their parents and siblings can join Fitchburg Federal Credit Union.
We offer a range of accounts and services to all of our student members. So, whether you’re looking for a car or a new sound system, or planning for college, turn to us first! We think students are terrific!
Statement Savings Account
Minimum deposit of $5 (single or joint). Earns dividends. Identification (original social security card or parent/guardian photo ID) required to open. Transfers to adult share account at age 16.
Free Checking Account
Our Free Checking account has:

Must be 17 or older with 3 months of steady employment. $100 minimum line of credit (over subject to joint-owner credit). (Requires parent or guardian as joint owner. Parent/

DreamMaker Certificate Account
$250 minimum. Variable rate. 36-month term. Deposits anytime during term. No withdrawals.

Account Management Tools
Deposits at school branch if available. All withdrawals at Main Office with proper Identification. Keep track of your account using free telephone banking, free online banking, and convenient electronic statements. After leaving high school, same qualifications apply as for general membership.

Your deposits are federally insured to at least $100,000 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF). This fund is administered by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an independent agency of the United States Government. That portion of any legal, verifiable share and/or deposit account which exceeds NCUSIF coverage is protected by the Massachusetts Share Insurance Corporation (MSIC), up to certain Massachusetts legal limitations, at no cost to you.
