plans 8th annual Kids Safety Day FITCHBURG, MASSACHUSETTS, April 11, 2006 … Fitchburg ME Federal Credit Union has announced plans for its 8th annual Kids Safety Day, which will take place on Saturday, May 6 from 9 a.m. to noon, rain or shine, at the Central Fire Station on North Street in Fitchburg. With the joint efforts of the Fitchburg Fire Department, Fitchburg Police Department, Masonic Temple, Massachusetts State Police, and the Credit Union, demonstrations for the children are expected to include fire and water safety, seat belt and car seat safety, and gun safety. Free bicycle helmets will be fitted to children, on a first-come, first-served basis. Also, the Masonic Temple will be providing the “Chip” identity program which includes, finger printing, teeth impressions and videotaping of your child. Additional attractions will include a variety of kids’ activities, refreshments and a raffle to benefit Boston Children’s Hospital. The event may include additional participants, as well. Past demonstrations were provided by Unitil, Smokey the Bear, DSS, YMCA, and the Multi Service Center.
