elects new officers; Mahoney is Chairman

FITCHBURG, MASSACHUSETTS, May 2, 2006 … Several new officers were elected at the Annual Meeting of Fitchburg Municipal Employees Federal Credit Union held recently.

Philip J. Mahoney, retired Fitchburg city treasurer, was elected chairman of the Board of Directors, and Deputy Fire Chief James Belliveau will serve as vice chairman.

Mariann Castelli-Hier, director of financial and treasury operations at Fitchburg State College, was chosen as the Credit Union’s new treasurer, and Fitchburg school teacher Linda Teittinen will continue in her previous role as secretary.

Michael Roberts, director of finance and properties of LUK, Inc., was elected to fill a vacancy on the Board of Directors, joining remaining Board members Joel Kaddy and Barbara Goodwin.

At the meeting. outgoing Chairman Jeffrey Jerszyk announced that the Credit Union’s field of membership has been expanded to include members of the Friends of Fitchburg Public Library and the Friends of Coggshall Park and their family members.

Credit Union membership is also open to employees and retirees of the City of Fitchburg, Fitchburg State College, Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School, Fitchburg Housing Authority, and LUK, Inc., and their family members, and also students of Fitchburg Public Schools and their family members.
