FITCHBURG, MASSACHUSETTS, September 18, 2006 …Barbara L. Goodwin, president and CEO of Fitchburg ME Federal Credit Union, visited EasCorp headquarters in Burlington recently with a $2,200 donation for Children’s Hospital Boston. The amount was raised by Fitchburg ME through its members during the year for the Credit Unions of Massachusetts Kids at Heart program.

Jane Melchionda, president and CEO of EasCorp, and young Timmy Stevens, a Children’s Hospital Patient Partner, also took part in the check presentation.

Throughout the year, Fitchburg ME participated in a number of fundraising activities and special events to help support the work of the hospital. Fundraising for its 2007 annual donation is already underway, according to Goodwin. Over the past 10 years, the Credit Unions of Massachusetts have raised more than $2.3 million for Children’s Hospital.

“Fitchburg ME is always pleased to participate in the Kids at Heart program,” said Goodwin. “Fundraising for Children’s Hospital brings out the best of credit unions’ people-helping-people philosophy.”
