FITCHBURG, MASSACHUSETTS, June 15, 2007 … Fitchburg ME Federal Credit Union held its Annual Meeting recently, at Saimi Park. The event was followed by an afternoon cookout celebrating the Credit Union’s 50th Anniversary.

At the Annual Meeting, the following Board Members were re-elected to a one-year term of office: Philip Mahoney, Chairman; James Belliveau, Vice Chairman; Mariann Castelli-Heir, Treasurer; Linda Teittinen, Secretary; Thomas Caputi; Joel Kaddy; and Michael Roberts. Barbara Goodwin, President and CEO, welcomed Fitchburg Mayor Danny Mylott, who presented a Citation from the City in recognition of the Credit Union’s 50-year milestone.

Following the Annual Meeting, more than 150 Fitchburg ME members and guests enjoyed a buffet luncheon served by Cormier Caterers, music provided by DJ Darin Boisvert of Perfect Mix, prize drawings, and activities for young and old alike. Members of the Fitchburg Fire and Police Departments were also on hand for the event.

All proceeds from the 50th Anniversary Celebration supported Fitchburg ME’s fundraising efforts for the Credit Unions of Massachusetts Kids at Heart campaign for Children’s Hospital Boston. Fitchburg ME will contribute $2,000 to the Kids at Heart campaign.
